Resident Evil 5 play through with Sheva – coop online?

I’ve played resident evil 5 online with a mate – and I played as Sheva, but as we finished the game, I didn’t unlock anything. Do I have to run through the game again on my own as Chris to unlock mercenary mode and such?

no. you should check to make sure all of the missions are marked as completed. the character doesn’t matter.
