What is the storyline behind all of the Resident Evil games?

I am extremely excited for Resident Evil 5, I am going to buy it for my Playstation 3. But I have only ever played the first 5 minutes of Resident Evil 4. So what is the storyline behind this franchise? Anyone know a good website to read up on it or is willing to type down a nice detailed story?
