I am very worthwhile to buy a PS3, but still needs a little bit more incentive. Is it worth it?

I have a 360 and a PC but I am not a very good player, PC, Wii, and I can be my friends if I want, then I am only in the PS3 to play nothing else interested. Is Blu-ray really that much better than the DVD? Are more expensive than Blu-Ray DVD's? I like shooters, role playing, and some action / adventure games (Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, GTA, Assassins Creed, etc. ..) What are some great PS3 and MGS4 are exclusive, Uncharted, Resistance, and the infamous? What is the game online? Is it comparable to or even better than Xbox Live? What hardware and problems with the PS3 slim? Overheating, error, omission material, nothing like that? The answers are helpful welcome, and please no bias answers.
