do pc game contollers work with every pc game?

i was just wondering because im thinking of getting the new resident evil 5 game when it comes out and i wanted to know if all controllers worked on all games. is there like certain types of controllers you need to get for certain games? sorry, im not a big computer expert lol.

I strongly recommend that you don’t use a controller. All you’re doing is asking for unnecessary frustration. You’re just crippling yourself.
