How good is Resident Evil 5?

Can anyone please tell me how good or bad, Resident Evil 5 is for the playstation 3. Im thinking of buying it, but this will be my first time playing a resident evil game. Can some one please compare it to Call of duty 4 or 5. And can i get some suggestions for a new game?

You will like it if its ur first resident evil game. There are just lots old resident evil fans who just cant get over the old game puzzle solving style.

This game has same gameplay as resident evil4. Resident evil 4 attracted alot of non resident evil fans to the game due to the new gaming style. Its not even a survival horror game now, its more of an action third person shooter. Resident evil 4 got game on the year from alot of gam review sites.

This is a good game, alot of game review sites gave it a 9 out of 10.
